Phantasmagor's News

Posted by Phantasmagor - December 23rd, 2013

It's been a while but we're finally back! For a few years I've been out of action in the game dev world, studying, travelling and whatnot. I re-emerged a year ago and joined back up with Chris on a new project called Terrible Teeth!

We've decided to try our hands at mobile developement. It's been a huge challenge, but with the power of OpenFL ( previously HaxeNME) we've been able to develop this game for multiple platforms, including Android, iOS and FLASH!! Our main target has been mobile, so the gameplay experience is much better on Android and iOS.

Check out the flash demo here:

Hey all!

It's St. Pattacks day and you know what that means? You should go to your local Irish pub and get drunk. But before you do that, play St Pattack and beat up some pesky leprechauns. Be sure to play TODAY, the 17th of March and get the Special day award! It's only available once every year on St Patricks day!

Also, be sure to download the Demon from the reincarnation series for your android phone. Simply search and download Pet Demon on the android market place.

Chris and I are also currently working on another awesome game for the android platform that will be coming out soon! We'll keep you posted.

Hey folks!

Chris ( Lilg ) and I have spent some time over the last months putting together a little treat for you all. Now you can have the demon from Reincarnation on your android phone just like you always dreamed of :D

Search for "pet demon" on the android market place on your phone and install the app for free!
https://market.android.com/details?id=
org.anddev.examples.petdemon

You can poke him, shake him intrigue him and have a chat to him. He responds to a few simple questions and you can ask him any yes/no question and he will give you an EEEVVILLL response.

Hello fellow Newgrounders,

I'd like to start by saying that Griswold the Goblin: Islands of Fire - Chapter 1 is near completion. We have been working very hard on this project for quite some time now, but due to some set backs, it has taken us over a year to finally get this project moving. We did listen to a bunch of the request from the fans of the first one so that the gaming experience would be a lot more enjoyable for everyone. There will be many controls for sound and speed and the characters will actually talk now (just to name a few of the new installments. Also, you really won't need to have played the first one to understand what is going on in this sequel because the storyline has changed just a little. However, if you would like to play the first game it can be located here. Chris aka LiLg on NG has been putting together the graphics for the game which he hopes you will enjoy.

Speaking of LiLg, he is entered into another video contest right now and is currently in the semifinalist running but could use some votes to get him into the finals. I wish I could help him but registration is only open to citizens of the US so if you have some free time please go check out his video at offzhook.com and give him a little help.

Thanks everyone and I'm looking forward to finally posting a new game here withing the month!

Lilg and I, Phantasmagor, are back again after almost a year since our last collaborative project Hewitt.

Our latest project which we have just released is Space Station Jason which you can find here:

Space Station Jason an epic 3d platform game that has taken close to 2 months to develop. Not including the many months I spent before that building and messing around with my 3d engine.

We hope you all enjoy the game and leave some helpful reviews and comments!

Hey people!

Yes I am aware that Lilg and I have been talking about this sequel for a loooooong time, but now were serious. Griswold the Goblin 2 has begun full on production and we've made a lot of progress on the game so far and the whole storyline has been written up. So far we can't give any information on a release date since the game is still very incomplete, but were hoping to get it done some time this year, we can't make any promises just yet.

This time around Griswold will be traveling to many more different places, taking on whole new challenges and the game is going to be packed full of action sequences and awesome mini games. The game concept we had put together was so big that we have been forced to split the game up into 6 different chapters, each being in a totally different location in Griswold's world.

Lilg's graphics are truly inspirational in this one. His talents never cease to amaze me and this time the graphics will blow your socks off. Each scene is entirely different with no re-used elements such as trees and shrubs. If you remember from the old game each scene pretty much had the same graphics copied into each scene. Griswold 2 will be very different with every detail in the game drawn from scratch. A few characters from the old game will be making appearances in this game and have been re-drawn in much greater detail.

The interface in Griswold 2 is much more appealing for the user, with everything entirely point and click, so no more trying to control movement with the keys and interacting with the mouse. Everything is done with the mouse, and moving about is as simple as clicking on the screen and Griswold will do the rest. I've spent a lot of time working on the path finding system so Griswold will make his way around all the obstacles on screen. Also there are tonnes of other new and nifty features.

If you're interested in possibly checking out a demo version, please feel free to email me at phantasmagor@gmail.com. Also I'd love it if you could leave some suggestions for the game, or tell me what you think of this new project of ours.

Hopefully you're as excited as we are about seeing this project finished and up on good old newgrounds for everyone to enjoy.

Griswold the Goblin 2!
